Tomorrow my sister and I are off to Athens to see Nine Inch Nails. Wait. Have I mentioned that NIN are coming to Athens and I'm going to see them? That's a once in a lifetime experience.
Which means I should be thrilled.
However. The prospect of the trip, the fact that I'll have to leave (even if it's only for a couple of days, even if it's to see NIN), the fact that I've only been to Athens once, and not alone, well...it somewhat hinders my excitement.
I know. I'm weird. Something is beginning to be really wrong with me.

( The Rest PLUS Textless Versions Under the Cut: )
Thought I'd post this here as I still like it and it's Clive related (C, let me know if you don't want fic here).
Author: Ashley
Second Sight: Hindsight
Warnings: language.
Disclaimer: these characters do not belong to me.
Summary: Post Hide And Seek. DCI Ross Tanner moves on.
Feedback would be lovely.
Author's note: This little ficlet is based on the BBC series Second Sight starring our Clive Owen as Detective Chief Inspector Ross Tanner - a divorced cop who's just discovered he has a rare virus called AZUR that will eventually cause blindness. He's not a man to back down easily - and has thus far kept his disease a secret from the department with the help of DI Catherine Tully, his assistant and lover.
It's a great series and I highly recommend it if you've not seen it.

No, this movie has nothing to do with my question :)

I am totally responsible for all the cherry leaf spot in the Tri-State area because I failed to rake up the last of the autumn leaves last November. I figured I'd mow once more, but I didn't, and that's all it took to blow seven years of obsessive avoidance of flaring tree fungus.
Meanwhile, the piggy has other people to visit, more myths to dispel. *sniffle*
Looking at this strip now, I feel like The Puppy in the third panel.
In my opinion, this is a seriously under-rated film, with stunning acting and beautiful cinematography.

We think he's made it in memory of his older brother Tommi who died, this is the birth and death dates - as far as we know...
That's all for know, we're heading home tomorrow, so stay tuned for more in the days to come *waves*
idle_curiosity and myself would like to introduce a new POTC community, in appreciation of Elizabeth Swann. We might be small in number, but we're enthusiastic about the character. All are welcome to a site that keeps Elizabeth as the main focus, that accepts all ships and pairings, and takes a firm stand against bashing of any kind.
loosened_stays will have fic, meta, art and discussion, and we'd love to have you give us a visit.
I was in the City today and found metered on-street parking. I was just going to drop something off quickly, and certainly didn't need a lot or garage. They have a new sort - one machine in the middle of the block - that prints a timestamped receipt that you place on your dash.
I reached into my pocket and had no quarters. [$.25/15 minutes] It would take plastic and I used my debit card. To be sure, I spent $.75. Later I realized that it was probably the least amount that I've ever spent that way.
What is the lowest amount that you've ever placed on a card - and why?
